The Good and the Sad

We had a great weekend. On Friday I checked Jonathan out of school early to catch a flight to Dallas. We then rented a car and drove to Waco to surprise Miss Kolby Grosz for her 7th birthday. I truly wish I had a picture of her face when she opened the door and saw Jonathan and Jackson. Her eyes got big and her mouth dropped open. It was priceless. We all had a great time. I always enjoy our visits with the Groszs'. The only bad thing is that Stephanie and I always stay up way past my bedtime talking. But it is worth it, absolutely. Now it is their turn to come visit us.

My heart is heavy for a little boy in Jonathan's 1st grade class. Mark Harmon's mother died suddenly on Thursday and the funeral is today. My heart breaks for this child. He was at school most of the day yesterday. He does not seem to "get it" yet. I know that in the next few days when the relatives go home and people are not dropping in, it will eventually hit him. I want to make it all better for him, but that is impossible, of course. Keep the Harmon family in your prayers.
