Pet Peeve

Now and then I see the question "what is your biggest pet peeve"? My standard answer is "people who drive slow in the fast lane." That does bug me, however to be honest, that is not my biggest pet peeve. Bad grammar drives me up the wall.

There is a local commercial on TV this time each year that bugs me. It is for a Little Rock jewelery store and they are trying to convince all men that they need to give jewelery for Valentine's day. A couple comes on and the woman says, in what I assume is supposed to be a seductive voice, "Words are never just enough." This drives me crazy. Doesn't she really mean "Just words are never enough" or "Never are just words enough"?

Maybe I watch too much TV?

Just reading back through your blog and found this. It also gets under my skin when people can't function in their own language. On our drive to Blanchard Springs last week, I saw a professionally-made sign outside a church that said "CHRISTIAN ACADAMY." Come on, let's go enroll our kids!!!
