New Word: Spring

Spring is coming! Thank goodness. Even though it is still cold and pretty dreary here, I have seen the unmistakable signs of Spring. I saw daffodil leaves! My heart did a happy little leap when I saw this a few days ago. I just love those yellow flowers. They are pretty, but I think it is more what they represent than anything else. They are some of the earliest bloomers of Spring. It means that winter is fading away and better weather and more flowers are soon to come.

See! The winter is past; the rains are over and gone. Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come.” Song of Songs 2:10-12

I am feeling inspired now. I have to stop by Kroger later for milk, I think I will buy some fresh flowers to put on my table. I am going to revel in the fact that my living room looks like a place for grown-ups again and not the toy drop off spot. I have been on a cleaning/organizing binge here lately and I am liking the way it is working for me. I constantly fight C.H.A.O.S., but I am fighting back. Join me!

Happy Thursday!

We too are anxiously awaiting Spring, but it sounds like you've caught spring fever and that God knew it was just what you needed. : )

My daffodil leaves have shot up from the groud just recently. Yeah! Daffodils and tulips are my very favorite flowers. A sign of the earth melting into spring.

What does CHAOS stand for? And can you come down here and help me fight it?
I told Rob that we might have some special guest for the skate weekend.."Oh how cool!" were his exact words. Not telling anyone else. It really would be "Cool"!! Let me know! Stephanie

Would you please send some of that spring north? Although it's 40-ish today, we're back in the low 20's next week. Our daffodils are still bundled up in their electric blankets and snow boots.

Grace and Peace,
Kim

We have a long running joke in our family about this time of year. Many years ago my Dad and a friend joked about having "The Annual Snow Tire and Daffodil Festival" because it seems like every year just after we see these little hints of Spring, we get one more reminder that Winter is not over just yet.

Daffodils are my birthday flower....so when they start showing up, I know my bday is soon!

Steph, CHAOS stands for "Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome"....ala FlyLady. Check out her website (www.flylady.net) and it explains it all.

Thanks Jenni for explaining that. I told Stephanie in an email to her and forgot that someone else might be wondering about CHAOS.
